[Under Construction]

Straight from the Houser archives we see our father/grandfather and the founder of Houser Auctioneers, Curtis (far right).  Also on the block to Curtis' left is Doug. Tim standing at the far left against the house.  If you look close enough, you can even see two long haired hooligans, Jason and Nathan, sitting just in front of Tim to the left of the stand.

Today's Auction Team:

Gwen has been in the auction business from the beginning and continues to play a vital role in fostering the family spirit which is the cornerstone of our continued success.  With nearly 70 years of experience, Gwen is the backbone of not just the business but more importantly our family.  Still actively involved in the day to day activities, she is our expert in antiquities and an integral part of auction set-up and display.

Doug a graduate of Bloomsburg University, joined the business in 1971.  He has also served as a president of the Lehigh Valley Auctioneers Association.  He is a fully licensed auctioneer, appraiser, and real estate broker.

Tim joined the business in 1976.  He is fully licensed as an auctioneer and appraiser.

Together, Doug & Tim share responsibility for the organization, preparation, and selling of all goods over the auction block.

Linda and Marie (Doug's wife and Tim's wife respectively) take active rolls in all phases and execution of our auctions.

As we move into the Twenty-first century, the third generation of Houser's is now coming in from the wings to take their place in the business.  After years of helping set-up, break-down, & run items to the block they are ready to be Auctioneers in their own right. Nathan, Tim's son, is a 1996 Graduate of Penn State University.  He is in his second year as an auctioneer apprentice and is working on obtaining the required credits for his auction license.  Jason, Doug's son, a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy has recently left the United States Air Force to return home and begin his formal training.  Although Jason still serves as a United States Guardsmen with the state of Connecticut, he too is working on the required credits to obtain his license.  Below, a picture of both Nathan and Jason selling their first item officially starting the third generation of Houser Auctioneers.

Naturally, the Houser Family cannot do everything ourselves and we are very Thankfull for the outstanding people who have come to work with us.  Several friends and extended family members serve as clerks and runners.  Some of these great people have been with us for over twenty years.  They are trusted individuals and extremely important to our success.
